anyway, shout out to 12Tone on youtube for making me think about the non-lyrics parts of songs as a storytelling device. I can't think of the last time I heard a song that did it this well.

so I've got a little more information now. It's not an unequivocally happy ending, because of course it isn't; Stolas has lost his status and all of his assets to some jealous relative, who was part of setting up the trial in the first place; his daughter is mad at him for choosing Blitzø over her; and his new imp neighbors hate him for manipulating Blitzø into this situation. BUT I don't think that undermines my Love Wins analysis:
