@EdCates I have hearing aids, which *almost* work like a bluetooth headset: I have to hold the phone within about half a meter of my mouth, but I can speak in a conversational tone, and nobody can hear the other end of the conversation, so in the supermarket it generally looks like I'm clutching a holy object to my chest and talking to Jesus about whether we need eggs.

@eedly @EdCates When mobile phones were still uncommon, I overheard someone in the grocery store calling their significant other to ask whether they should get green or red grapes. What I didn't say was "just make an executive decision and live with the consequences." It's been all downhill from there.

@eedly @EdCates *Almost* Yep. Mine also almost act like earbuds. I bought a pair of crappy, made in China $10 earbuds that work much better in that function. They didn't correct my hearing issues though.
