@lesley A final interesting entry is Dialog's approach. It's a logic language and rules follow the structure:
(begining of definition)
(predicates)
(within)
(the rule)
Any line with leading whitespace is assumed to be part of a rule's body. No further nesting of indentation. It can only really get away with this structure cause it's a logic language.
