@frankrolf @justvanrossum @lianghai @fontra I pinged Vaishnavi Murthy a couple of days ago about this, I guess you’re already in touch with. FWIW, we follow a simple naming convention for Malayalam glyphs (can be used for all/most Indic scripts as well). k1 for ക, k2 for ഖ, etc. — a screenshot attached. Conjunct glyph names logically combine the base glyph names (k1k1 for ക്ക, for e.g.). The complete list can be seen at https://rachana.org.in/docs/rachana-glyphlist.pdf
