I'll never forget this thai place I went to that had something like scallion pancakes crossed with a fried dumpling. it was like a scallion pancake but stuffed with a huge amount of slightly fried green onions and came with multiple dipping sauces and it was the best thing in the whole world and I haven't seen it anywhere else

this is like how the first sushi place i went to sold deep fried mochi ice cream and no other place has that. it's heartbreaking when you think something delicious is part of a general type of cuisine then you find out that it's only made by that one place you'll never eat at again
