Unfortunately my understanding is that genuine help with something like this is extremely rare and more than a post code lottery, especially as it relies on therapists having a level of knowledge, experience and expertise that is even rarer. Even if you have pockets deep enough to go private.
Recovering from burnout, especially later in life, when time is already doing a number on our resilience, energy levels and ability to bounce back from things, is not easy and requires a lot of time and patience. I am finding that self-care is the key.
Finding out, from the community as much as anything, how to look after your needs, especially sensory and energy levels. The routines of sleep and living that drain you the least and recharge you the most. Even if they are far from what you might consider normal.
But then it was the very fact that we are different and have different requirements and being ignorant, or ignoring that, to try and always push through regardless, which was one of the many causes for us to spend our lives repeating the endless cycle of burning out and recovering incompletely.
Good luck and I hope you can find what you need.
