Peter Mandelson - the man who proudly admitted that he woke up every day thinking of ways to undermine Jeremy Corbyn - is a part of the Blairite core of the Labour party that hand-picked Keir Starmer as an heir to Blair and purged leftists from the party. This "scandal" is what and who they are as a party, and Starmer's successor will be part of the Mandelson gang whether they portray themselves as that or not. Mandelson isn't just some scandal; he is Labour. And Labour are Mandelson.
