Reposting this story as I am still dismayed whenever I see a fellow progressive writer is hosted on #Substack. This platform continues to willingly host - and monetize - white supremacist newsletters with literal Nazi insignia. https://funcrunch.org/blog/2025/09/01/support-for-substack-is-normalizing-the-nazi-bar/

The Guardian reported on #Substack hosting Nazi newsletters this February: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2026/feb/07/revealed-how-substack-makes-money-from-hosting-nazi-newsletters #WhiteSupremacy

@funcrunch extremely controversial take. I'm for the free Marketplace of ideas. I won't support any publication which removes ideas it doesn't like, or won't give space to people to publish them. I fucking hate nazis. My grandparents survived the concentration camps. And I still believe in the free Marketplace of ideas. It's more important than feeling safe.

@funcrunch > still dismayed whenever I see a fellow progressive writer is hosted on SubStack I feel ya. But I also understand how much work it is to exit. I already had a domain name, knowledge about the options for replacing it, and a lot of help from our sourcerer-class admin. It was still a big job; https://disintermedia.net.nz/ghosting-substack/ @thibaultmol
