Oh no. Beyerdynamic was sold to some Chinese OEM last June. (https://www.slashgear.com/1900632/beyerdynamic-cosonic-chinese-owner/) Luckily there's new companies like Austrian Audio and Meze (Though the former is now owned by private equity), and Sony does still make nice headphones, but as someone who was quite fond of Beyerdynamic this is pretty disappointing. Also weird that I find out about it now, guess I was distracted with by thesis deadline being a few days after the sale.
