the nyc street tree census data is really fun and easy to work with! my favorite nyc street tree is the pin oak, and i made a little map of all of them (at least, as of 2015) (zoomed in here on brooklyn)

@aparrish I did an analysis on of the sf trees and used the z axis to show the date. it's cool to also color them with colors of the species and you. an see like these distinct years when huge chucks of the city got a certain type of tree planted everywhere.
