basically, this industry is just gambling, force-fed to the most economically and emotionally vulnerable, protected by bribes and buying off kleptocratic politicians

"some markets just shouldn't exist" - and there are multiple ways to act in line with this thought. one of them is legislation. but it isn't the only one. we can't only wait for the kleptocrats.

@catileptic Okay, so they're patently evil dudes working above the law. And *of course* the premier pariah family (now that Epstein is dead) is eyeballs deep. There are other ways than slow justice, you say. I am _all ears_. I want to take these high flyers and put them so low they have to dig *up* a thousand kilometers just to reach hell. Barehanded. (Am I mad? Yes. In both senses of that term, where this is concerned... let's take these jokers down before they kill the world.
