Don't. Don't say you are "going to Google" or "Google that". Say "search online", "search the web" or "Use a search engine". We shouldn't normalise using corporate language in everyday language, giving free advertising for them and spreading normalcy about using Google. This is a bad thing. Might be awkward at first but it's the right to do and easy enough at no cost to you. Thanks.

    @LapisPebble Doubly important 9 months later. We need to degenericize 'Google' as a verb: a search should not be 'to google', because Google have ceased the practice of providing useful or even relevant links in favour of LLM slop, advertisements, and patently incorrect 'answers' thanks to SEO. Been trying to excise it from my vocabulary. It's like if Johnson and Johnson changed their business model and 'Band-Aids' suddenly became a sort of saw blade.
