@tylerknowsnothing@hear-me.social It's just sad that anyone has ever used LinkedIn for anything. Why do people keep forgetting that this business was built entirely on stealing people's address books in Windows and sending out unsolicited emails in your name to con more followers? And no, that's not ancient history, it was still occurring at least in the last ten years that I've seen from work contacts.

@tylerknowsnothing@hear-me.social if they never helped you, I think you were using it wrong. LinkedIn is a very powerful tool when used correctly.

@tylerknowsnothing@hear-me.social As of now, I have plans to leave the IT industry for good, after some 25+ years. I'll keep that LinkedIn account for a last post where I can drop that bombshell ๐

@tylerknowsnothing@hear-me.social Seems my account (name) is not visible anymore, but I would have preferred full deletion. Can't access anymore since June last year after I kicked my GMail address out for the login after adding a proper e-mail address on an own domain. A week later they wanted me to identify myself with a government ID, which never ever is going to happen. But, unfortunately they most likely scraped the profile for their AI.

@tylerknowsnothing@hear-me.social Deleted my 14yr-old Linkedin account 4 yrs ago. Haven't looked back. Originally, it was a way to stay connected with my Uni professors and fellow students (later fellow alumni), past colleagues and later former students (as a former part-time adjunct lecturer). But it was in serious decline right before I left..shady DMs and regular phishing attempts from email accounts posing as people I knew IRL (with whom I was already connected/linked) wanting to "connect". It just got too weird. I haven't looked back.

@tylerknowsnothing@hear-me.social But what did this experience teach you about B2B sales strategy?
