@Sigmundkapje @surethingwhitey it's unlikely without an open civil war. States run elections, not the federal government. So, he could interfere with elections in very red states with complicit legislatures, but it's the swing states and blue states he needs to interfere with, and those seem unlikely to go along quietly. Which is why he's trying to interfere and manipulate in other ways. They're currently trying to extort access to voter data in Minnesota under threat of continued occupation.

@Sigmundkapje IANAL, but I don't believe so. Everyone must follow the Constitution, which provides no exceptions to its fixed schedule of elections. The US kept that schedule during both World Wars, and also through our own Civil War. (Though Rebel States did not participate.) So there seems to be no grounds for this. That said, there's nothing I wouldn't past this lawless regime.
