Looking at the big name FOSS projects on the "open slopware" list & thinking how we're at the "extinguish" phase of corporate Embrace, Extend, Extinguish as applied to free and open source software.
If licenses aren't respected for training, and code itself is viewed by these projects as merely an output (of proprietary software running on privately owned GPU farms), what's the point of libre?
To them, I mean. Lots of "them" though.

In weird ways it feels like early FOSS days, before Linux became the default operating system everywhere but the desktop, and likewise before a large chunk of us became management. Guess we'll all have to go back to fucking shit up ourselves, in all our little ways, just for the sheer joy of it. Could be fun.
