@mr_creosote KQ6 in general feels so unquestioningly devoted to fairytale stereotypes that it cannot help but be bizarre and regressive. Alexander’s call to adventure felt illogical and unconvincing to me from the outset of the game. I like seeing it compared to Monkey Island in this way.

    @ThreeOhFour Highly regressive for sure. But even more so, I don't understand why it's so inconsistent. Why make Alexander, a romantic hero, get into a swordfight at all? Why not handle the finale in a character appropriate way? This sort of confrontation would have fit for bodybuilder King Graham of part V. It amazes me how few ideas they had throughout the writing of this game.
