@ari@fedi.arimelody.space I'm still in a sort of stunned bewilderment that their response to "Hey uh the fingerprint scanners can be really inconvenient can we place have face recognition as an OPTION that USERS CHOOSE TO TURN ON" was "Isn't [type of fingerprint scanner not even available on all current phones] good enough for you?!??!?!" like buddy my 10a doesn't HAVE that scanner it has the SHITTY one so I can barely USE my FINGERPRINT to UNLOCK MY PHONE.

@shio what sucks is the facial scanning on pixels is an abject downgrade from face ID on iphones, so like asking for an option to use it is asking for crumbs at that point
