Also, I feel the need to say this:
I am not saying Labour never had a problem with anti-semitism. Although it was never as bad as it was painted to be by groups to whom its disarray was profitable.
But the overreaction to Palestine Action has been a consequence of that mindless, knee jerk overreaction.
And it is, in itself, profoundly antisemitic because it is not a rational response. It is an absurd, fantasmatic response to a underlying sense of guilt. 1/

And that guilt in itself, which conflates criticism of Israel's policies with anti-Jewishness IS fundamentally antisemitic. @Voline @cstross
