I think at this point we should go back to the old-school ways of never leaving a computer on or connected to the internet when you're not actively using it.
Yes, it's annoying. But in today's climate, it's the best policy.

@MissGayle I generally agree. The challenge is that Microsoft Defender is the standard for use in most municipalities, schools, lots of the federal government. So this isn't so much about you and me as it is directly heads up to all of the it departments.
