A while ago I created a Mastodon account for Pelican on Fosstodon, and then shortly after there was a hullabaloo involving one of the admins, and some instances responded by de-federating from Fosstodon. Then new leadership took over Fosstodon, and I get the impression the situation has stabilized.
Is that true? Have instances re-federated? If not, I’d prefer to make the move now.
My core question: Should I keep the Pelican account on Fosstodon, or should I move it to another instance?

@justin@ramble.space I was cautiously OK with the way they eventually resolved the situation and have not seen any further problems. I don’t know if many defederated over it though and I am not sure how to check

@justin@ramble.space 1) is it true? I believe it is. The work done by the current admin team is evident in the docs on on https://hub.fosstodon.org/ , esp the team covenant and code of conduct. from what I see they’ve lived up to it so far. 2) de/re-federation: I can’t prove it’s a non-issue, but I’m reasonably sure only a few instances de-federated in the first place. I’ve not noticed any issues, but I’m not sure how I’d know? 🤔
