@TiroTypeworks Oh yes this looks definitely like *painting* and definitely like *writing*, but also I would never call it *drawing*

@dominika Agreed. John Stevens provides a really good demonstration of brushed Roman capitals, showing how rotation of the brush is used to form serifs and blend curved strokes. His techniques follow quite closely those developed by Father Catich from his analysis of inscriptional lettering in Rome.
