OK, the latest HMRC government wheeze for people who work for themselves from home is that I gotta set up a "rental agreement" between Actual Me and Company Me for use of the house. (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/income-tax-removal-of-the-tax-relief-for-additional-homeworking-expenses/removal-of-tax-relief-on-non-reimbursed-homeworking-expenses has all the gory details.) The accountant tells me that such agreements are available online -- I can look, obviously, but has anyone already done this and got a recommendation for such an agreement template?

@sil My response was "this feels like more admin than the tax relief is worth" so I just decided to stop claiming, but if you find something I might be interested

@sil This sort of bureaucracy is why I choose employment despite the disadvantages of working for The Man. Last time I tried being self-employed I almost died of tax anxiety. (Admittedly I was doing it abroad so not exactly playing on easy mode.)
