My entire take on books to have at the end of the world is you should go get all the Foxfire books. I have uhhhh on occasion bragged about having the early editions of Foxfire 1-5 as a weird flirting/flex move that probably only works for the circles I move in.

@TeamMidwest this would have worked on my mother if she hadn't been straight as an arrow. Perhaps I should ask her if she still has hers and if I can have them when she no longer wants them.

@TeamMidwest I haven't thought about the Foxfire books in *ages*! I'd be concerned with the *looong* term viability of a coastal site in the volcanic, seismic, and tsunami prone place like New Zealand (not that any place is immune to disaster, long term). On the other hand, it sounds like a lovely place to spend a human lifetime, statistically.
