@momo not a great example but an example of that.. starts off with bass womp and kicks on ch1, brings in ch2 (7 step), and then ch3 (5 step), switch to ch4 only (and matching downbeat-rides on 10) which then means you have dum-tiss but on the offbeat, and drop back to downbeat (ch1-kick 4/4 and ch11 rides offbeat)

    @nflux Hmm, I think the way I try to pull it off is a bit more slower in the begining which makes the end too complex to pull it off with a variant. I tried to record it a few times and this is one instance where I was able to pull it off manually without a variant and on time. Almost. Now while listening to it I'd say I also need to silence the second synth sample for a bar just to let the delay echo drenched silence for a bit, but that makes the timing even harder. The thing is: I pulled this off after 3 or 4 tries. And I want me to be able to pull this off at the first time, 15min into my set. I guess I make my job easier by moving the silence part into a variant, do the unmuting there and lock in variant A in under 2 seconds before fucking everything off...
