How do you define a "strong" character? How do you create one? Beside being physically powerful, I would say a strong character is one who is sure of who they are and what they are supposed to do. And I don’t want to create such character, what is interesting is precisely when a character is unsure, always trying to understand what they are supposed to do and what others are expecting from them. Like real people in fact. #wordweavers 2026-03-07

  • How do you approach stereotypes while creating characters? I think authors should play with stereotypes to trick the reader a little: they think they know what kind of character they’re going to encounter, and then they’re offered something slightly different, which gives them the opportunity to become more aware of that stereotype. #wordweavers 2026-03-08
