@gkrnours yeah, i wonder that too there appear -- based on the stuff I've been reading online -- to be other trends that were leading up the price squeeze ... ... like, RAM manufacturers were already cutting back on production runs because they had produced so much a few years previously that it led to a plunge in prices, lower than they'd like also, they're moving to a new design, so they were sunsetting some older processes

  • @clive funny, we didn't read exactly the same things but some do cross over. There uses to be stock buffer or strategic reserve kind of thing but for multiple reason, like US politics chaos, there wasn't that much last year, plus sony apparently sponging whatever it could find cheap for its PS5. I can see manufacturer wanting higher price factor in. About process, high end like samsung do change machine yearly and resell old one to chineses, but US incertainty also throw a wrench in that?
