one organisation doing this would be silly. dozens of organisations doing it to the point it's a common pattern is a nightmare
how can so many companies decide to route people's emails to the same random *unregistered* domain instead of deleting their address

even if your system does not support deleting an account or its email address, at lease use a domain you own as the null value

@jcoglan@mastodon.social i have the domain never.email and when I set up an email for my wife noticed that it was instantly getting spam, because, hey, people will just make up emails with annoying services that require and/or won't let you wipe email address
