@anthropy I don't have a microscope, been asking around to find someone who would have & who would know what to look for, emailed some lecturer at university but no response yet.
Trying to swab a sample at this point from it would not confirm anything as I have handled the film by hand so much.
If you mean the black on the sides of the film, it's emulsion breaking down from moisture & maybe heat.

@nosfe neat that you emailed a lecturer! I do wonder if it's more common, the blueish shapes seem rather unique to me, but perhaps it's some logical chemical breakdown, I honestly don't know enough about it to do more than just speculate. as for the black shapes; I specifically meant these shapes that look more lichtenberg-y to me, although some of it also kinda seems like fungal roots or something alike:
