@CWilbur yes it is exposed, before shooting the film it was stored in semi-outside conditions for 7 years, so there has been heat and freezing, lot of temperature changres. also there was some moisture, remjet, which is the protective layer was smudged. patterns are on the blue sensitive-layer, which is the top layer of colors. green color is mostly missing from whole roll expect around the perforation edges for some reason.

    @nosfe I'm inferring then that the original image is preserved in the red layer. I scanned through some images online that were deliberately infected with bacteria of various kinds, and they don't resemble what's happening here (but this is film, not a final product). Anyway I'm kind of ruling that out now. If what you say is true, then the least stable layer is green, which has moved to the edges of the film, and the blue has been mobilized and reacted in some way, but has some level of geometric stability, much like the "angle of repose" of gravel slopes under gravity. Beyond that, I'd say this is a rather unique piece of natural art.
