@violetmadder If you're an above-average writer, AI will pull your quality down. If you're a below-average writer, AI will pull your quality up, but in doing so, will create unrealistic expectations about you. And that's before we get to the flagrant inaccuracies.

@Steve And if I go in there and start waving my arms and wailing about semantic ablation, the enclosure of the digital commons, and how the economic (and environmental) sky is falling, a lot of folks are going to look at me like I'm totally bonkers.

@Steve @violetmadder It won't pull the *quality* up even then. It will pull the appearance-of-quality up. But in terms of actually conveying the message you wanted to? Poor structuring, bad grammar, substituted words that mean different things, misspellings, etc. that a "below-average" writer might produce *still* convey your message far better than a guess at what someone else might have wanted to say in the context you're asking it to "answer".
