Is "tribal knowledge" a colonizer term? Seems like in tech that is used to mean "we need to take this knowledge and extract or distill it so that others can have it" Wonder if and when it makes more sense to have those others "join the tribe" instead?

    @nbathum I prefer to refer to it as either "arcane knowledge" or "ancient tales", to emphasise the age and obscurity as opposed to the otherness. If we're striving to reduce instances of othering, it does make sense to not refer to something as "tribal".
