@dr_tj @ieeevis right. So is having to submit your paper earlier so someone else can make it accessible less friction than doing it yourself? What if the quality of the vendor version isn’t as good which creates friction for readers?

@dom @ieeevis Final version earlier is less an ask than initial submission for sure. And I can imagine a submitter doing the bare minimum to get it accessible, so the issue can be on either side. In an ideal world, our tools (be it Word, LaTeX, etc) would do it right.
