Product designers. We live with/under capitalism. Your job is; 1. make a product or service, AND 2. get paid. There's a host of other things you might do as well, but if you don't do those two, both of them - then you are doing a hobby. I am all for hobbies. They're bloody marvellous, please keep doing those, as will I. Now. IF on the way between doing and paying, there's hobby things you want to do? Well that's irritating, maybe inconvenient, but ... OK, I've got patience, sure, let's see how we go.... Plug cable into EV. THIRTY EIGHT fucking minutes with; a mobile phone, two apps, 3xSMS messages 5xemail messages, a membership number, joining another thing, a credit card, a touch screen a multicolour LED strip, advertising about insurance and about hamburgers, and two support staff THEN the plug pushes electrons into an EV.
