@Mespotine Internalizing "All of this will still be there tomorrow" is a major thing that has helped in consciously being able to close/put away everything related to it for the day and moving to a different room to do other things. The process of leaving the room helps tremendously, too. The surrounding issues are noticing that it is happening in the first place, instead of looking at the clock and going "Oh fuck how is it 3AM". My life revolving around gentle alarms and notifications around "transition times" like, time to get ready for bed, time to eat etc, has also helped in easing this.

YES on transition times. I have ~15m blocks in my day to sit and do nothing/play with something mindless between tasks. One of those was before work this morning, I put on my shoes and then sat on the steps for a few minutes doing nothing. This lets me empty myself out of the first task and get ready for the second. I try not to think 'I need to do X' and instead think 'it's time for X', like it's expected, obviously this is what's happening now, and alarms help me a lot too.
