@simon Technical feasibility aside, it seems like Icecast, HLS, or some other type of HTTP streaming would have usefully wider compatibility.
E.g. throw an icon on your home screen/desktop to open and play an HLS m3u8 in Safari or Chrome. Play it in VLC on basically anything. Load it on a Sonos speaker without wasting your phone's battery AirPlaying it.
If you're away from home and something happens that requires a response, will the few seconds of latency saved by TeamTalk make any difference? Software to encode HTTP streams is more battle-hardened for long-running deployments.
