No, people RENTING their empowerment to use computers in freedom is, in fact, exactly the "not like that" we have been talking about forever.
Paying apple $99/year to put your own software on your own phone is also "not like that"
Paying a company to let you use their computer how they want you is exactly what we didn't want.

@hp@mastodon.tmm.cx i can kind of understand his point when it comes to users individually modifying open source software with a LLM but that doesn't mean that the project needs to accept LLM contributions in fact, they shouldn't until the copyright issues with LLM generated code are resolved and i'd argue that they other issues are large enough LLM code shouldn't be accepted even if that does happen
