@hp@mastodon.tmm.cx i can kind of understand his point when it comes to users individually modifying open source software with a LLM
but that doesn't mean that the project needs to accept LLM contributions
in fact, they shouldn't until the copyright issues with LLM generated code are resolved
and i'd argue that they other issues are large enough LLM code shouldn't be accepted even if that does happen

@jiub@not.an.evilcyberhacker.net He's saying that using proprietary software is the software freedom we've always wanted. "Rent access to closed source software and experience software freedom!" He's exactly right, that we do say "no, not like that".
