@Mycroft Thank you for your comment <3 Yeah, your approach makes total sense. I eat eggs and dairy, but I try to source the eggs from chickens that are kept in relatively sane conditions. It's not perfect, but I think it's something.

@oddtail from what I read, unless it was all vegan propaganda, the breed(s) of chicken used for most egg-laying is just straight-up genetically fucked due to it producing like 10x as many eggs as those that haven't been selectively bred, it's prone to many diseases and health conditions, especially in bones, that even the most ethical thing you can do with one is let it live comfortably before it hits an early grave, and don't let them breed to perpetuate the cycle at least cows can be rescued; there's nothing about their genetics afaik that will kill them when they're no longer forced to be constantly pregnant (and thus stop producing milk) I'm assuming that's what you were alluding to at the mention of veal, that it's mostly just a byproduct of the dairy industry
