...have you noticed that women nag? Men don't nag. Unless they're effeminate men.
Nagging is gendered.
Insistently telling someone you have a problem with their behaviour is wrong if you're a woman. Even if the complaint is legitimate.
Women reading this know all of this. Men reading this have by now likely found about five different mental escape hatches, from thinking I exaggerate to wondering why I'm going on about something so trivial to thinking they're different and this doesn't apply to them and they are not thus privileged.
I know those escape hatches. I used to make good use of them back when it was possible for me to do so.
I don't know how to solve it. But I reckon talking about it is one small way to change things.
If you're a non-man, show this thread to one man in your life. If you're a man, show it to two. After all, you won't be accused of nagging if you talk about this pattern.
