@erik @vikxin @NanoRaptor well.... it's the web itself to blame, or rather the sites on it. we have the same experience with ddg, so as much as we'd love to rag on our abusive alma mater (google), we can't really pin this one on them.

Kagi isn't immune to the slop either but it's still leaps and bounds better - especially when you use their ranking tools to hide the obvious slop domains that do seep through. I know not everyone can afford to pay for a search engine but if you can, it's worth it. There are ways to get a 3-month free trial too if you go looking for it.
