Stupid question: can someone tell me the name of this type of graph? And maybe point me towards a tool for creating them?

Join a union, join a neighborhood group, join an association, whatever it takes to unify decent people to shift the momentum towards purging the parasites from modern society. Not a uniquely American problem, but further along the curve (not counting Russia) so please show the world it can be done https://thegrimhistorian.substack.com/p/has-america-crossed-the-asshole-threshold

@stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe This has these vibes all over it. And I feel your pain seeing clients try to apply solutions suitable for Google and Meta scale infrastructures to the most basic problems. Schools aren't helping either. It's one curriculum for everyone and little or no attempt to contextualize when to use which tool

Huh, I just listened to the latest Science Vs podcast (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_Vs) about finding ways to cut down on doom scrolling etc. and one of the recommendations was using an accessibility setting to set the phone to greyscale. It actually works! (for me, YMMV)

JFC. These trucks simply don’t fit on the roads here. Maybe a simple regulation with the basic maximum dimensions would do the trick? Not to mention some basic calculations about the visibility of small persons in front of the vehicle? https://arstechnica.com/cars/2026/04/no-f-150-in-france-us-automakers-complain-the-eu-blocks-big-trucks/

Sigh. The disease of the MBA is not understanding the business and optimizing for the wrong metric.
