You know how in the US, every public school system sends out a fleet of buses to pick up students in the morning and take them home in the evening? Literally every employer that requires work in person could do this. And yet they would all prefer the giant parking lot.

@log don't even get me started on this garbage car society. I've had medical staff schedule me at locations near where I live, but I take the bus so it isn't closer to me.

@log The one thing to solve from then would be access to transport for people who have to depart during the day (as children typically have transport-enabled guardians to call on when they're sick.) I wouldn't really want to leave that up to the chancey quality of *current* local rideshare/ taxi services, though in such a future hopefully those would also be better.

@log The purpose of a system is what it does. Society exists to make you buy gas. Making you buy a car is so you have to buy gas.
