Just a reminder that one of my great joys in life is reading an opinion by a thoroughly angry judge, and today's decision on the Kennedy Declaration is absolutely full of that. Ahh, the delicious, nutritious rage. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.ord.191371/gov.uscourts.ord.191371.93.0_1.pdf #legal #uspol #hhs

@theogrin TIL, this is how you say, 'Lol, no, not buying that for one minute!' in formal language

@theogrin you get a hint with the first footnote: "Throughout their briefs and supporting documentation, Defendants use the term “sex-rejecting procedures.” In this Court all people will be treated with dignity. The Court will use the appropriate term “gender-affirming care.”"

@theogrin I love this whole judgment. I'm sure that if I was on the plaintiffs' legal teams this would be a career highlight!

@theogrin idk this gives more "I know this is completely pointless, my decision will be completely ignored, like all the other ones before". Which is good, I guess. The sooner people realise you can't sue your way out of fascist dictatorship, the sooner people can get armed and organised.

@theogrin delicious! thx for sharing 💕 I had to look it up, & found the opening para is also pretty 🔥 (“deeply unserious people” is how I would characterise almost every political appointee under the current US regime)
