@cdub it was a meme (both internal and external) that people who get hired at Google disappear into the borg/matrix. Wonder if this recent round of layoffs will change that?

@luis_in_brief Having worked for two huge megacorps now: I doubt it. I do think the round of Google layoffs has irrevocably damaged the trust many of us Googlers had in how the company is run, though.

@luis_in_brief Anyone who goes to a large company has to take on the mantle of "I'm communicating partly on behalf of my company now" though. It's a difficult adjustment.
