A lot of great replies, probably too many for me to thank individually, but thank you. I essentially want a system that's easy for me to share stuff with my mom or my friends, like "Hey mom, install Jellyfin on your apple TV and go to jellyfin.mydomain.com, I created an account for you" or "Hey, gaming group, here's my entire TTRPG library on PDF, have at it." I think, based on what people have said, my best option is a reverse proxy on a VPS so I don't expose my home IP.
