I care about AI's effect on the environment, but i'm worried we've already created lasting destruction with putting the entire economy into AI the last few years. Every day i think about all the money that has been siphoned off from the macro level investments to the micro level - all institutions pivoting their projects and focus from whatever useful thing they were doing before to AI. Some of the $$ + labor would have been spent on infrastructure or social goods. But now it's gone, poof.
