Some conclusions from this weekend (2/2):
- It’s impossible to analyse Big Tech without looking at fossil fuel interests and how they align with capitalist extraction and convenient alignments with fascist politics.
- The Cloud is not merely ‘someone else’s computer’ but a major production environment that decisively shapes economic output and institutional performance and autonomy.
- Let’s make more zines!
- And please stop using generative AI to prove a point on your slides...

Also, reflecting on data centre resistance specifically: It was great to experience in real life how this struggle organically attracts and links up different groups, with folks from climate justice, anti-mining, water justice, critical urbanism, labour rights, digital rights and many other movements coming together to push back against the infrastructural power embodied by these structures, both in localised settings and on national and transnational levels.
