Scott King started Red Dragonfly Press, and ran it as a passion, to elevate regional & nature-oriented poets. Scott was a friend and grad school peer until he decided to quit science and pursue poetry and literature “to save his soul.”
A remarkable polymath, naturalist, writer, publisher. He and I were scheming to get back together & amble in nature when he died unexpectedly 5 years ago.
You can still get some of Red Dragonfly Press’s pubs at https://www.reddragonflypress.org/

Scott published some of his own works in his own “vanity press,” Thistlewords Press, including a remarkable naturalist’s narrative about a year of nature observations—at least one observation for 365 straight days (Following the Earth Around). All of which were uploaded to #iNaturalist, to which he contributed many observations over the years. Red Dragonfly Press elevated the works of others, not his own work.
