  I guess this is a productive use of my daylight hours during retirement. I don’t use a blind generally, just photograph if I’m presented an opportunity while ambling. The Eastern Towhee was semi-cooperative. I.e., emphasize the here and now of a scene, rather than progression or inference. For starters. Perhaps evolve or advance to more sophisticated constructs… (3/2)

But intentionally support small, local businesses. Especially women, minority, and immigrant-owned businesses. Many of these struggle to survive, and they shouldn’t be the targets of our collective ire.

  Spent 2.5 hours taking in the resident & migratory birds this morning. I’ve still never seen a Tufted Titmouse, but they’ve been entering the chats frequently in recent days. The trees were dripping with Golden-crowned & Ruby-crowned Kinglets. Heard my first warbler of the year. Both the Yellow-rumped Warbler and the kinglet are last years pics. I’d say I made up for it this evening with a 30-mile ride, but today’s ride doesn’t make up for yesterday’s missed opportunity. The system I use has both in-body image stabilization and lens image stabilization (like a lot of modern systems, certainly not unique to mine). I use them both. I prefer bird walks (or cycle tours) without the added burden of a tripod.
