@VisualStuart Had one last year—a person with a young female profile photo started messaging me in DMs after I followed back—which was very uncharacteristic. That already put me on alert. Quite early on, after basic pleasantries, they asked if we could message on some other service. There was no way that was going to happen since they would then get my cellphone number, which very few people have. Easy report at that point, and within a short space of time, they were gone.

@jackyan @VisualStuart I had exactly the same (two supposed young women from the Southern part of USA, both interested in Country and Western and wildlife). Stopped after I said I don't use the other services for security reasons (and maybe others reported them) Perhaps they are specifically targeting middle aged men, thinking we are wanting to be "sugar daddies"..

@jackyan @VisualStuart ofttimes the profile photo is stolen too. Sometimes find them via a reverse image search.
